    Stage is glade, flowers and grass.

    Red Mouse enters.

    RED MOUSE: I’m first. Sunny day. (looks around)

    Nobody is here. I’ll wait.

    Mouse runs on stage, then stops on the centre of the stage.

    RED MOUSE: It’s not good to play alone. I hear, somebody is coming.

    Yellow Mouse runs on stage.

    YELLOW MOUSE: I think I would be first today. Today is sunny day.

    RED MOUSE: I was first today. We could play.

    YELLOW MOUSE: Yes.

    Mice start to run on circle by each other.

    RED MOUSE: It is good to play together.

    YELLOW MOUSE: It is great to run together.

    Enters Green Mouse.

    GREEN MOUSE: Are you playing already?

    RED MOUSE: Come to us.

    YELLOW MOUSE: It is more fun when we are three.

    GREEN MOUSE: The more mice the better.

    Three mice run on circle by each other, squeak.

    RED MOUSE: Hurray to mice!

    YELLOW MOUSE: Hurray!

    Enters Blue Mouse.

    BLUE MOUSE: I am late today. And I want to run with you.

    RED MOUSE: Catch me. Catch me up.

    YELLOW MOUSE: How fun it is to run.

    GREEN MOUSE: The more mice the better.

    BLUE MOUSE: Hurray to mice!

    RED MOUSE: It is good to be with all of you.

    Mice run.

    On stage rolls out cheese.

    Mice don’t notice.

    Cheese knocks down Blue Mouse and she fells.

    All mice stop.

    Blue Mouse squeezes pitiful. Mice help her to stand up again.

    BLUE MOUSE: What happened?

    YELLOW MOUSE: Really, what happened?

    RED MOUSE: Why did you fall?

    BLUE MOUSE: Somebody pushed me.

    GREEN MOUSE: It’s not me.

    RED MOUSE: Not me.

    YELLOW MOUSE: Not me either.

    BLUE MOUSE: Then who?

    GREEN MOUSE: Maybe stone.

    Mice turn around on their places and only now notice cheese and start to smell it.

    BLUE MOUSE: It is cheese.

    YELLOW MOUSE: Cheese!

    RED MOUSE: Cheese!

    GREEN MOUSE: Cheese!

    RED MOUSE: Where is it from?

    YELLOW MOUSE: It doesn’t matter.

    BLUE MOUSE: Yes, it is my cheese.

    GREEN MOUSE: Why?

    BLUE MOUSE: It fell on me, and it is mine.

    Blue Mouse carries off cheese.

    RED MOUSE: Stop!

    BLUE MOUSE: Why? I want to eat my cheese.

    YELLOW MOUSE: It is not fair.

    GREEN MOUSE: Yes.

    RED MOUSE: It is not fair. This cheese is mine.

    BLUE MOUSE: Why?

    RED MOUSE: Today I was first to come.

    GREEN MOUSE: And?

    RED MOUSE: I just put this cheese away before run.

    GREEN MOUSE: You didn’t say that you bring cheese with you.

    RED MOUSE: Yes. I didn’t want you know about it.

    Red Mouse takes cheese for herself.

    YELLOW MOUSE: It is not right.

    BLUE MOUSE: It is not your cheese.

    GREEN MOUSE: And not yours.

    RED MOUSE: Yes.

    Red Mouse lets go cheese.

    GREEN MOUSE: Then cheese is mine.

    YELLOW MOUSE: Mine.

    Green Mouse and Yellow Mouse catch cheese.

    BLUE MOUSE: It doesn’t help.

    Mice let go cheese and stay around it.

    YELLOW MOUSE: What we do now?

    GREEN MOUSE: We forget about cheese.

    BLUE MOUSE: It is hard.

    RED MOUSE: Yes.

    All mice sigh.

    YELLOW MOUSE: I want to play.

    BLUE MOUSE: At first we need to know what to do with cheese.

    RED MOUSE: Yes, whose it.

    GREEN MOUSE: No one...

    YELLOW MOUSE: But...

    GREEN MOUSE: And everyone.

    BLUE MOUSE: I don’t understand.

    GREEN MOUSE: We found it.

    RED MOUSE: Yes.

    GREEN MOUSE: And we all want cheese.

    YELLOW MOUSE: Yes.

    GREEN MOUSE: We will have it.

    BLUE MOUSE: But we talked about it.

    GREEN MOUSE: Yes. We could have just piece of it.

    RED MOUSE: To everyone.

    GREEN MOUSE: Yes.

    YELLOW MOUSE: Nice.

    GREEN MOUSE: Take your cheese!

    Each mice break off equal piece of cheese and smell it.

    BLUE MOUSE: It would be nice to have more cheese.

    GREEN MOUSE: What for?

    BLUE MOUSE: We know what to do with it.

    YELLOW MOUSE: Yes.

    RED MOUSE: Eat it!

    Mice squeeze and jump with piece of cheese.
